William Blake: Albion (1793)

Albion is a figure from the complex mythology of the English poet and painter William Blake (1757-1827). He is represented there with reference to Greek mythology as the giant and son of Poseidon and as the mythical founder of Britain . Its name corresponds to the historical name " Albion " for Great Britain.

The asteroid (15760) Albion was named after this shape.
