Alden "Shorty" Holloway was an American country musician and guitarist.

Life

Alden Holloway, also known as Aldon Holloway, was primarily a country musician who performed in the far north of Washington state in the 1950s . In 1944 he already had a job as a DJ at the KNET broadcaster in Palestine , Texas . He was also on the radio on KPKW and KWIE, among others, and performed throughout the state with his Prairie Riders . In 1958, when rock 'n' roll found its way into households, Holloway recorded the two songs Loving Is My Business and Chiquita , which he had released on Starday's package deal series . The response must have been promising, as Starday Holloway had a second single, Blast Off / Swinging The Rock , recorded for their sub-label Dixie Records . Holloway also took advantage of Four Star Records ' custom service, because there he released a single on the Northwest label. After that, Holloway came back to country music. He recorded other country songs.
