Aleksander Poplavski
Aleksander Poplavski (born February 26, 1955 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian politician .
Life
After graduating from the Vladislavas Sirokomlė Middle School in 1973 , he completed his diploma in sanitary medicine at the Vilniaus universitetas in 1979 . From 1979 to 1986 he worked as head of the epidemiology department in Šilutė , and from 1986 to 1987 in the district of Vilnius . From 1987 to 1990 he was a union doctor . From 1993 he worked in his own company UAB "Alvolda". From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the Seimas . From 2000 to 2003 he was a member of the Vilnius City Council.
From 1998 to 2003 he was a member of Naujoji sąjunga , from 2003 of the Liberalų Demokratieų partija .
In December 2005, the Vilnius First District Court sentenced Poplavski for violence in the family (towards the woman).
