Alessandro Gazzi (born January 28, 1983 in Turin ) is an Italian football player .

Career

He made his debut on June 3, 2001 in the game against CFC Genoa for Treviso, for which he played two games. Then he returned to Rome. He graduated in two years at Lazio, in which he was in the professional squad, but not a single game and moved to Serie C1 at AS Viterbese Castrense in the summer of 2003 . The midfielder was able to play in the regular team at Viterbese, but transferred a year later to the Serie B club AS Bari due to the club's bankruptcy .

He was also able to quickly establish himself as a regular at Bari and played 69 of 82 possible games for the Apulians in the following two seasons, in which he scored four goals. There followed two difficult seasons for Bari, in which the club barely managed to stay in the league. In January 2007 the club loaned him to Reggina Calcio until the end of the season . Despite eleven minus points, he managed to keep the league in Serie A with the Sicilians and then returned to Bari. Gazzi completed almost all league games again, but finished with Bari only a moderate 11th place in Serie B. After the midfielder with the Galletti secured promotion to the top Italian division in the 2008/09 season , he is still one of the regulars of the club.
