Alessandro Maria Vianoli

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alessandro Maria Vianoli was a Venetian historian and lawyer. In 1659 he published L'oratore forense lodato ed espresso by Pinelli . His main work, however, is the two-part Historia Veneta , also published in Venice in 1680 and 1684 by Giovanni Giacomo Hertz , which goes back to 1683. The first volume goes up to 1485. It was published in 1686 in a German translation under the title Der Venetianischen Herthaben Leben / Government, and dying / From the first Paulutio Anafesto an / bit on the now-ruling Marcum Antonium Justiniani in Nuremberg with Johann Hoffmann. In this work, starting with the legendary early history of Venice in its own libro , all doges are dealt with. This is done in separate sections, preceded by a stitch that represents the corresponding doge. The total number of engravings is therefore 107, only Marino Falier , who was executed in 1355, has an empty plate.

In 1662 Vianoli married the equally noble Foscarina Contarini, sister of Giovanni Contarini (1632–1675).
