Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (Novosibirsk)
The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is a Byzantine-style Russian Orthodox cathedral in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk .
history
It is considered one of the oldest stone buildings in the city and was completed in 1898 or earlier. In 1937 it was closed during the reign of Josef Stalin . In 1988 the cathedral was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church and was completely renovated by 1992 and also opened in the early 1990s after the Russian Orthodox Patriarch Alexius II had visited it.

The church was built of red brick and has two gilded domes.
