Alexander Buttmann

Alexander Buttmann (* 1813 in Berlin ; † 1893 ) was a German classical philologist .

Buttmann worked as a high school teacher ("professor") and as a city councilor in Potsdam . As a philologist, he continued the work of his father Philipp Buttmann , among other things he edited his grammar.
