Alexander Dill (politician)

Alexander Dill (* 1964 in Arnstadt ) is a non-party German politician .

Career

After completing the 10th grade, Dill completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker and worked in this profession for four years. In addition to his professional activity, he attended evening school and graduated from high school . After military service he studied at the Technical University of Dresden "landscape architecture" and received the final thesis on "space strategy for the City Arnstadt" the diploma . As a research assistant at the TU Dresden, Dill passed on his knowledge to young students, worked there in various committees and raised funding. Since 1998 he has been working as a freelance landscape architect.

Political activity

Alexander Dill was Mayor of Arnstadt from 2012 to 2018 after he prevailed against his competitor Knut Vettrich (CDU) with 56.7% of the vote in a runoff election on May 6, 2012 .
