The Alfons-Hoffmann-Altenheim is a formerly listed nursing home in the west of Munich exactly on the border between the districts of Laim and Pasing at Agnes-Bernauer-Straße 185. It was built between 1954 and 1957 according to plans by the architects Felix Büttner and Hans Högg built as an urban retirement home.

The building consists of several wings staggered in height. In the western part, the living quarters form an inner courtyard; to the southeast, the complex opens into a park area.

One of the most noteworthy rooms in the house is the entrance hall, which is glazed to the outside and has a curved gallery. In the south wing there is a large theater hall with also large window fronts.

A small house chapel is integrated in the east wing. The altar of the chapel is decorated with a bronze crucifix by the Zwiesel sculptor Wolf Hirtreiter .

At the end of the 1990s, the sponsor decided to set up the city-owned company Münchenstift to modernize the retirement home. A makeshift building was built to keep operations going and in 2006 part of the old building was demolished. Since 2007 there are self-contained housing units for 11 to 14 residents.
