Alfonso de la Torre
Alfonso de la Torre was a 15th century Spanish writer . He was born in a village in the bishopric of Burgos , he probably died around 1460. He probably came from a Converso family. He studied fine arts and theology at the University of Salamanca .
Alfonso de la Torres best known work is his Visión delectable or Visión deleitable , with the full title: Visión delectable de la Filosofía y Artes liberales, Metafísica y Fílosofia moral . The book, illustrated with woodcuts, was first printed in Barcelona in 1484 and is a compendium of education for young readers.
