Alfred Thole

Alfred Thole (born February 25, 1920 in Großenkneten ; † December 11, 2005 in Aurich ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1970 to 1986 he was in the state parliament of Lower Saxony .

Thole attended school in Großenkneten and Oldenburg and graduated from school in 1939. After a practical professional training, he studied agriculture at the universities in Bonn and Berlin. After completing his studies, he became a soldier in the Second World War, after which he took over his parents' agricultural training business and ran it until 1962. He then became managing director of the Wesermarsch regional people's association, which he remained until 1970. Then he became a pedagogical employee of the state working group for rural adult education. From 1960 to 1981 he was councilor of the Großenkneten community and also a member of the district council. From 1970 to 1986 he belonged to the seventh to tenth electoral term of the Lower Saxony state parliament.
