Alfredo Antoniozzi

Alfredo Antoniozzi (born March 18, 1956 in Cosenza , Italy ) is an Italian politician of the Forza Italia party . As such, he is a member of the European Parliament and a deputy in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and in the delegation in the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee . Antoniozzi is a member of the Committee on Constitutional Affairs and a delegation to the EU-Croatia Joint Parliamentary Committee .

Life

Antoniozzi completed a law degree in 1980 and then did an internship at law for a year. After this internship he became a member of the Social Services Committee of the Municipality of Rome. From 1985 to 1989 he was Head of Education, General Affairs, Agriculture and Litorale Tevere. He was later elected to the City Council of Rome, to which he was again after re-elections in 1995 and 2000 for the Forza Italia party. In 1995 he became a member of the Board of Forza Italia, of which he was a member until 1999. In 2004 he was elected to the European Parliament, where he was group leader of Forza Italia until July. He is the party's coordinator for the Province of Rome. Antoniozzi is a member of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, as well as a deputy in the Committee on Regional Development , a member of the delegation for relations with the countries of Central America and a deputy in the delegation in the EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee .
