Alfredo "Alfredino" Rampi (born April 11, 1975 in Rome , † June 13, 1981 at Vermicino ) was an Italian boy who fell into an artesian well on June 10, 1981 at the age of six near Vermicino near Frascati , for several days survived and despite attempts at rescue could only be recovered dead. His body was only brought to light on July 11th.

The unsuccessful rescue attempts were followed by the media across the country and broadcast live on Italian television.

Several books have appeared on the case, and in particular the role of television, by Maurizio Costanzo (1987), Massimo Gamba (2007), Andrea Bacci (2007), Walter Veltroni (2011) and Burkhard Jahn (2018).
