Ali Kushaib
Ali Kushayb (including Ali Muhammad Ali Abd-al-Rahman , Ali Kushayb or Ali Mohamed Ali Abdelrahman ) was the leader of the Janjaweed militias in the Darfur conflict in Sudan .
Since February 27, 2007 he was wanted for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Darfur conflict for the period from August 2003 to March 2004 by the International Criminal Court in The Hague (ICC). He is said to have given orders declaring the people of Darfur a legitimate target of the Janjawid.
Ali Kushaib was arrested in the Central African Republic on June 9, 2020 and transferred to the ICC after he turned himself in, according to ICC information.
