Alien Contact was a German science fiction and fantasy magazine .

It was published as a print magazine from 1990 to 2001 up to issue 42, then it was converted to an online magazine. Selected contributions from it appeared in the Alien Contact yearbook from 2002 to 2005 . The last online issue appeared on December 21, 2005. With issue 68, the magazine was discontinued in favor of the follow-up project Pandora .

In addition to stories from German and international authors, Alien Contact contained essays on the history of the genre, selected authors and their life's work, international fantasy and the history of the publishing industry.

The magazine's team was awarded the Kurd-Laßwitz Special Prize in 1995.
