Alistro is a place on the east coast of the Mediterranean island of Corsica . A stream of the same name flows in the south of Alistro. The place belongs to the municipality of San-Giuliano , which is in the Haute-Corse department .

This part of the east coast is also called the Costa Serena , which is about halfway between Bastia and Bonifacio . Alistro is located in the Moita Verde district , the northernmost of the five parts of the Costa Serena.

Attractions

The easternmost point of Corsica is at the Alistro lighthouse , which, like most of the Corsican towers, is a Genoese tower . In 1943 the lighthouse was damaged in the course of World War II and repaired from March to May 1945.
