The General Business Bank (AWB) was an Austrian bank with its headquarters in Vienna .
The Allgemeine Wirtschaftsbank was founded in 1958 by Peter Krauland . The bank went bankrupt in 1974 due to insolvency. Her liabilities amounted to 654 million schillings and the bankruptcy proceedings lasted thirteen and a half years. The bankruptcy rate was 26.7 percent.
