General Austrian Farmers' Association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The General Austrian Farmers' Association was founded in the 1950s and was an attempt at a peasant professional organization. In 1952 Josef Zangel became director of the association. The association saw itself in competition with the farmers' union and entered as a campaigning group in the elections for the chambers of agriculture. He was “ FPÖ -nearly non-partisan”.
