The General Law on Consequences of War (AKG) is a German federal law that came into force in 1958 and regulates which claims against the German Reich are not extinguished by the war, but are to be met by the Federal Republic of Germany as an exception .

According to Article 8 of the Unification Treaty, with the exception of Sections 1 and 2, it has not come into force in the acceding area ; In other words: Only §§ 1 and 2 apply there.
