Alliance of Democrats
The Alliance of Democrats ( English Alliance of Democrats ; French Alliance mondiale des démocrates , literally World Alliance of Democrats ) was a worldwide working group of democratic, centrist parties.
The Democratic Alliance included in particular the Democratic Party of the United States of America , the European Democratic Party and the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats . The association had a total of 60 member parties.
The alliance was founded in 2005 and jointly led by François Bayrou , Francesco Rutelli and Ellen Tauscher . Allianz stopped work in 2012.
