Allied Administrative Publication

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Allied Administrative Publications ( AAP ) are the published definitions of terms, expressions and abbreviations as they are used consistently in NATO .

These uniform specifications were drawn up by NATO working groups in contact with other international standardization bodies and are kept up to date in order to avoid different interpretations of standards and treaties. The definitions are legally binding internationally, unless another definition has been explicitly agreed in the contract text. The AAP mainly contains military and administrative definitions. Some of the definitions are also used in international civil business.
