All-weather pool
An all-weather pool or indoor outdoor pool is a swimming pool that can be used both in winter and, depending on the version, in summer as an indoor pool , as well as an outdoor pool in good weather . There are different technical versions:
- separate outdoor and indoor swimming pools
- Swimming pool with variable roofing:
- Convertible roof
- Telescope hall
- movable dome roof
- Swimming pool with seasonal roofing with an air dome .
The first telescope hall in Germany based on the Dutch model is the all-weather swimming pool Osterholz-Scharmbeck (built in 1979).
A bathroom with a movable domed roof, which was planned as a showpiece, is located in Idstein and was opened in 2010.
