Almanya Almanya

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Almanya Almanya (German: Deutschland, Deutschland ) is a short story by the Turkish author Nevzat Üstün and is the title of a volume of stories of the same name that was published by Var Yayınevi in December 1965 .

The story is the first literary work in which the migration experiences of Turkish immigrants in Germany are processed. It is therefore considered to be the "pioneer" of the first generation of so-called German-Turkish literature . The single story Almanya Almanya appeared in the anthology Die Pforte des Glücks (1969) also in German.

In several short scenes, Almanya Almanya tells the story of Rıza, who goes to Germany, his landlady and lover Edda there and his betrayed wife Elif, who has been left behind with three children and whose cursing Germany ends the story.
