Alpín II (Dalriada)
Alpín II. ( Scottish Gaelic : Alpin mac Echdach ) († around 841 in Dumfries and Galloway , Scotland ) was King of Dalriada from 839 to 841 (?). He was the son of Achaius and Urgusia, and father of Kenneth I and Donald I.
His grandfather Aed Find was the successor to Alpin I.
When his son Kenneth I ascended the throne of Dalriada in 841, Alpin was definitely dead. There is a source that Alpin's death was 834. At that time he was fighting the British in Galloway.
