When you came down to earth
When you came down to earth is a spiritual song that was sung as a mass in the Christmas season after the conversion . It belongs to the hymns of the Catholic Danube Swabians and was handed down in a handwritten collection of songs. The text can be traced back to the middle of the 19th century. In Tyrol in Austria it was sung as an Advent song with a traditional melody at the end of the 20th century .

the manger became your throne.
So now
humility covers you again , O Son of God.
But even under these signs,
which one day will give way to the senses,
we adore you Savior,
who has done enough for us.
