Design and history
The monument was erected in 1907. It shows a metal relief with a portrait of the founder of the German gymnastics movement, Friedrich Ludwig Jahn. The portrait is framed by an oak wreath . The base of the monument is made of quarry stone. An inscription plaque is incorporated into the base.
