variants

Class 334

The Class 334 is used by Abellio ScotRail in the network around Glasgow and on the North Clyde Line . The vehicles get their electricity from the overhead line. A total of 40 vehicles are in use. The first 38 were delivered in 1999, followed by two more in later years. No vehicle went into regular operation before 2001.

Class 458

The Class 458 is used by the South Western Railway . These vehicles get their electricity from a conductor rail with a voltage of 750 V. Deliveries began in 1998. All trains were not in use until 2004. They were rented to the Gatwick Express for a short time, but were never used there. All units that now have the paintwork of the South Western Railway are to be completely replaced by the new Class 701 by 2019/2020 .

Class 460

The Class 460 is a series of multiple units originally built for the Gatwick Express. They were delivered between 2000 and 2001 and, like the Class 458, are supplied with power via the power rail. A total of only eight were built. The trains were rebuilt in 2012 and relocated to the South West Trains network to increase capacity there.
