The old Austrian bottlenose dolphin , also known as the Viennese lapwing , is a breed of pigeons . With its white belly and black chest band, the breed is vaguely reminiscent of the color of the lapwing . It probably originally comes from India and came to Vienna after the Turkish siege . It was here that it established itself and is now believed to represent the ancestor of all known Viennese bottlenose dolphins such as the Viennese ornamental dolphins or the Viennese Kurzen .
