The Evangelical Lutheran Old Church of Tampere ( Finnish Tampereen Vanha kirkko ) is a wooden cruciform church in Tampere , Finland designed by Charles Bassi . It was built in 1824 and inaugurated in 1825. It was the first church in the city. The bell stack was designed by Carl Ludwig Engel and built in 1828. The church is used by the Swedish-speaking community of Tamperes.

The church was renovated in the 1950s and restored to its original style.
