The Alte Krone is a former inn in the municipality of Vandans in the Montafon . The building has been a listed building since 1964.

The building is located behind an open front garden with fruit trees on Dorfstraße just before the junction with Rellstalstraße. With its original use as an inn in front of the Rellstal, the building refers to the Romansh- speaking population in the 10th century on the former connection route through the Rellstal over the mountain saddle Schweizer Tor to Graubünden .

The two-story building was erected and expanded between 1567 and 1744. The cellar and parts of the ground floor are bricked with brook stones. The further construction of the house was carried out as a largely plastered block and frame construction. In the corridor there is an open cooking area and the fire door for the stove in the former dining room. The mighty fireplace continues on the upper floor. There are several paneled rooms, some with painted panels . The double windows with central posts and six or eightfold structure are partly lavishly framed.

The building was secured from 1959 by the Federal Monuments Office and with the support of Vorarlberger Illwerke . Due to the vacancy over three decades, the false ceilings and the roof had to be completely renewed. The building was divided into three residential units for further use. The kitchens and sanitary areas were installed with today's standards. The remarkable handcraft details such as panels and doors have been preserved. The old windows were expanded to box windows with front windows in the same design .
