The old silversmiths in the Lechviertel of Augsburg is a listed craftsman's house from the 13th century. It is at 10 Pfladergasse, about opposite the Pfladermühle .

From the Middle Ages at the latest, Augsburg was regarded as the center of German gold and silversmithing . In numerous forges in the winding streets of Augsburg's old town , among other things, the world-famous Augsburg table silver was created, the possession of which was considered a symbol of wealth and taste at all European royal courts. Of the craft houses still preserved in the Lechviertel, the old silversmiths are probably the best known. Already built around 1250, it received its current appearance from around 1550. The building was used as a forge until the late 19th century; today it houses a boutique for gold, silver and platinum jewelry.
