Old Jewish cemetery in Benešov

The Old Jewish Cemetery in Benešov (German Beneschau ), a Czech town in Okres Benešov in the Central Bohemian Region , was laid out in the 17th century. The Jewish cemetery has been a protected cultural monument since 2007 .

The cemetery was converted into a park after 1980, in which several tombstones ( mazewot ) were left. In 1984 some of the historical tombstones were moved to the new Jewish cemetery in Benešov.
