Alternative list Innsbruck

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Alternative List Innsbruck (short name ALI , original spelling ali ) is a group of voters in Innsbruck that has been represented with a mandate in the municipal council since 2018 .

history

ALI was founded in November 2017, the founding members included the local councilor Mesut Onay, who left the green council club after a falling out because of allegations of abuse , and the linguist and SPÖ member Ivo Hajnal . In December 2017, the group announced at a press conference that it would run in the municipal council elections in April 2018 . Contrary to initial announcements, no candidate was nominated for the mayoral election that was taking place at the same time. The list was supported by the KPÖ , which did not stand for election in the municipal council.

In the election, the list won 1,220 votes (2.38%) and thus a seat in the local council.

program

According to its own statements, ALI deals with topics such as citizen participation, democracy, education, social affairs and health, housing, migration, culture and city districts. The program should be developed in a participatory process with Innsbruck citizens. In its structure, ALI is based heavily on the grassroots democratic platform of other European cities such as Barcelona en Comú .
