history

The two-storey building opposite the Oswald Church was built as a rectory in 1559 and was used as such until after the Second World War . In 1959 it was sold by the state of Baden-Württemberg to the city of Stuttgart and is the seat of the 18th police station. In 1984 the police moved out. In 1987 the renovation took place according to plans by the architect Wolfgang Schäffer. In the process, details from the period of earlier use were uncovered and restored, including a baroque wall painting using fresco technology. The adult education center, music school, clubs and, under the roof, the home parlor of the home district of Weilimdorf moved in as new users.
