biography

Hans Krause-Wichmann was a member of the Saarland delegation at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki . Together with his brother Joachim as well as Werner Biel and Hanns Peters he started in the four without a helmsman . The crew won their lead against the favored boats from Italy and Norway. In the semi-finals and in the repechage, however, the four rowers were narrowly defeated and thus missed the final.
