geography

The river rises with many source streams in the center of the island near Dindri and runs through Tsembéhou in the la Cuvette (English: bowl) in the center of the island. It is fed by streams and Fiumaras from the mountains around the central crater. Among others by Dzialaoutsounga , Ngani , Bamboa Mtouni , Habakari and Ngouniyagnombe . At Chandra it forms the Cascade Tratringua and, after leaving the town , runs through the valley of Dziani to the west towards the sea. It receives another larger inflow from the Habakari massif from the south and turns north again shortly before the confluence at Ongoni . It flows into the sea near Bambao on the east coast at Marahani beach .
