Bambao or Bambao Mtrouni (also: Bambao M'Sanga ) is a place on the island of Anjouan in the island state of Comoros in the Indian Ocean . In 1991 there were 2669 inhabitants.

Bambao used to be the seat of a sultan (including Saïd Achmet (Bambao) ).
