The old town hall is located in the center of the Strümpfelbach district of the Baden-Württemberg city of Weinstadt . The building is protected as a cultural monument according to § 28 DSchG .

history

The building was built in 1591. This is evidenced by a year on a coat of arms on the north side of the building. In 1720/1721 the council chamber was enlarged. In 1956 the stairs to the upper floor and the equipment of the council chamber, the roof turrets and the outdoor facilities were created. The roof was renewed in 2013/2014.

The building is currently empty.

The building

The building is a two-story half-timbered house with a saddle roof over three roof levels. It also has a massive basement. The gable side of the building faces the main street, the main traffic axis of Strümpfelbach.

The building is 14.5 m long and 10.5 m wide. The height from Hindenburgstrasse to the roof ridge is 15.2 m, from the basement floor to the roof ridge 17.1 m.
