The old brine bath on the Kocherinsel Unterwöhrd in Schwäbisch Hall was a bathhouse opened in 1827. Eugen Gradmann assigned the architecture of the building, which previously served as a rifle house, to the classicism of the 19th century” . The old brine bath, inaugurated on June 1, 1827, is important for Hall's urban development - the building "represents the beginning of Schwäbisch Hall's development into a spa town and tourist destination" . In 1880 the new saltwater pool was built in the immediate vicinity . Both buildings are no longer preserved today (as of 2014).
