Old gentlemen's association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The old gentlemen's association (AHV; also old gentlemen's association , Philisterium or Philistine Association ) is the union of the old men of a student or pupil association , i.e. those members who have completed their studies or are otherwise in professional life. In a kind of reverse generation contract, the AHV is responsible for financing the active federal government, Aktivitas . In some connections his tasks also include the organization of federal events, such as the annual foundation festival .

Like Aktivitas, the AHV is structured on a grassroots basis . It is headed by a board that is elected by the Convent of Old Men and does its work on a voluntary basis.

The AHV is usually the owner of the connection house and employers of faxing . Many connections, however, have an additional house association in which all old men are members and which maintains the liaison house as a registered association .
