The Alumu-Tesu is a platoid language from the Niger-Congo language family , which is spoken by about 7,000 residents of the state of Nassarawa in Nigeria .
The name of the language is derived from the two dialects it has, namely Alumu (also known as Arum) and Tesu, which only differ in their intonation. Alumu is usually the preferred standard dialect. The language, together with other languages, forms the plateau languages within the platoid languages.
