Alvarez & Marsal is a consulting company founded in New York City in 1983 by Tony Alvarez II and Bryan Marsal , which is active in the areas of turnaround management, restructuring consulting , crisis and interim management. The company also offers programs to increase earnings and combat white-collar crime .

history

The company was founded in 1983 by Tony Alvarez, a former Coopers & Lybrand employee, and Bryan Marsal, a former Citibank banker. Both are still very actively involved in the company's strategic development. A&M has had a branch in Germany since 2002. The company's first turnaround customer was Timex Corporation. Most recently, A&M has become known for, among other things, the commissioning of the worldwide liquidation and restructuring of the investment house Lehman Brothers , the National Bank of Greece and the Kaupthing Bank in Iceland. A&M also advises the government of the Republic of Ireland , the Spanish government and the government of Cyprus on their financial market reform .
