Alwin fitting
Alwin Fitting (born March 12, 1953 in Westhofen ) is a board member of RWE AG and a former electrician .
He began his apprenticeship in 1971 at the Biblis nuclear power plant , where he had been employed since 1974. In 1977 he passed his master craftsman examination and in 1994 became chairman of the works council . He is a member of the ver.di union (formerly: ÖTV).
In 1996 Fitting became chairman of the general works council of RWE Power AG. In 2000, as part of the coal and steel co-determination, he was appointed Labor Director to the Executive Board of RWE Power, where he was responsible for personnel issues. He held this post after the merger with RWE Rheinbraun AG in October 2003.
On June 29, 2005, Fitting was appointed Labor Director to the Executive Board of RWE AG with effect from August 1, 2005, where he assumed responsibility for human resources.
