Alysh ( Kyrgyz : Алыш) is an old Turkish term for traditional Central Asian variants of belt ringing . It literally means "fight to find the fittest". Alysh is a member of the World Association of Amateur Wrestlers and the International Belt Wrestling Koresh Federation .

regulate

Competitors usually wear either a green or blue shirt that goes down to their hips and white pants that go down at their ankles. This is rounded off by a red belt. A fight usually lasts five minutes, with shorter fighting times for children, women and the elderly.

Both competitors hold on to the opponent's belt and it must not be released during the fight. The aim is to bring the opponent to fall in the given time so that he touches the ground with a part of his body other than his feet.

Competitions

Alysh is a regular sport in the World Nomad Games and the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and was also represented as Belt Wrestling in previous editions of the World Combat Games . There are also world championships in this sport.
