The América Futebol Clube was a football club from the 40,000-inhabitant city of Morrinhos in the Brazilian state of Goiás . The club was founded on March 5, 1937, the club colors were red and white.

Between 1959 and 1997 he played 14 times in the first division of the 1944 state championship of Goiás . and played in the second national league until 2004, when he was bottom of the table with only one point. Then the association was dissolved.

In 2007 the club was re-established as Morrinhos Futebol Clube , which has since represented professional football in the city. The Morrinhos FC rose in 2008 to the second, and in the following year in the first national league and was able to hold the class in the 2010 competition.

América FC played in the 6,000-seat Centro Esportivo João Vilela .
