Am Mühlbach 30 (Frischborn)
The house at Am Mühlbach 30 is a listed half-timbered house on the southwestern outskirts of Frischborn , a district of the central Hessian town of Lauterbach .
The two-storey house was built in the first half of the 19th century as part of the “Oberdorf” expansion. The eaves side facing the street shows influences of classicism , namely the symmetrical structure of the facade and the entrance door framed by two corridor windows. A two-step sandstone staircase leads up to this.
Basement windows are set into the base of the house on three sides; on the eaves side facing the street, these have a round shape. On the rear side of the eaves there is a second entrance in the base, which leads to the workshop or stable.
The house is shingled and has a significant floor overhang. The space between the house and the neighboring barn, the so-called corner, is filled by a high wooden stable.
