Amanda Buckner (* 1975 in Poland , Maine ) is an American martial artist .

biography

Amanda Buckner's athletic career began in 1994 as a point guard on the University of Maine at Farmington basketball team . She started her mixed martial arts career in 2001. Among other things, she defeated the Japanese Hitomi Akano during the Clash of the Nations at Bodog Fight in 2007 and the American Julie Kedzie a year earlier .

She is involved in various mixed martial arts leagues, including the Mixed Fighting Championship , International Fighting Championships and Bodog Fight . The 163 cm tall Buckner weighing around 60 kilograms has won eleven fights in her professional fighting career, lost five and one ended in a draw.

Buckner and her husband Jay Jack run the Academy of Mixed Martial Arts in Portland , Maine .
