Amarok (mythology)

Amarok is the name of a giant wolf from Eskimo mythology . It is said that he hunts and eats anyone foolish enough to hunt alone at night. Unlike the real wolves who hunt in packs, the Amarok is always alone. It is believed that Amarok could be identical to the Waheela of cryptozoology .
