Ambrakia (daughter of Phorbas)

Ambrakia ( Greek Ἀμβρακία ) is a person from Greek mythology .

According to Stephen of Byzantium , she was the daughter of Helios' son Phorbas . With Mesolas married, she was the mother of Dexamenos , after which the city Dexamenai in the territory of Ambracia was named. Along with other bearers of her name, she is one of the eponyms of the city of Ambrakia.
