Ambroise

Ambroise († after 1196) was a Norman trouvère and chronicler of the Third Crusade .

He took part in Richard the Lionheart 's army in the Third Crusade and wrote the Chronicle Estoire de la guerre sainte about his experiences up to 1195 . Ambroises Chronicle was one of the templates for the Itinerarium Peregrinorum et Gesta Regis Ricardi, which was later written .
